Train Journey

9th July 2010 – There was heavy rain in Mumbai for last two days. We 8 members met at Bandra terminus at 6.00 am where we met with two shocking news. First our tickets status was still RAC and in different coaches, 4 in S1 & 4 in S5. Second thing, our train would depart by 3 hours late. Our train whistled at 10.00 am instead of 7.55 am. 80% passengers of our coach were for Amarnath Yatra. After Borivali it took fast speed and nonstop run to Surat. By grace of Baba Bholenath we all got empty berths where we had sound sleep because we did not sleep well for last two nights.
10th July 2010 – We reached New Delhi 4 hrs late. Beyond New Delhi our train was diverted through Muzaffarnagar – Saharanpur route in place of its normal route via Paniapt-karnal due to heavy flood in Punjab. Our Train reached Jammu Tawi by 11.30 pm in place of 2.30 pm. On 10th July. Daddy and Ranjan were waiting us at platform no. 1 and took us to Saraswati Dham Dharamshala a few meters away from Rly. Station. Both Vaishnavi Dham and Saraswati Dham are run by Mata Vaishnav Devi Shrine Board. It became 00.30 am. and there were hardly any restaurant or Dhaba was open. So we moved to Rly. Station in search of dinner where any how we got Rice and Rajma in IRCTC pantry on platform no.1 @ Rs. 30/- per meal.

There are three regions in J&K states i.e. Jammu, Kashmir and Ladak. Jammu is the name of city as well as region. Jammu is also called city of temples. The famous Vashno Devi Temple is 65 km from Jammy city.
